VBT: GUEST POST & GIVEAWAY: TOGETHER IN CYN BY. JENNIFER KACEY

TOGETHER IN CYN
*BY*
*JENNIFER KACEY*

BLURB:

A small book sitting out on a table shouldn’t incite fear in anyone.

But what if that book was your diary and you learned your two best friends, men you have ached for your entire life, have just read every last word? Pages and pages filled with dark fantasies and forbidden dreams so explicit they leave nothing to the imagination.

And what if those two friends were included in every last one?

This is exactly where Cyn Andrews now finds herself.

Stuck somewhere between wanting to hate Jared and Chris Kennedy for violating her privacy and just plain wanting to be stuck somewhere between them. She could never choose only one brother, so she’s kept her feelings buried for more than a decade, and a past mistake has kept her silent and alone…until now.

Everything she’s ever wanted may have just been handed to her in the form of an invitation to The Library. Not just a building filled with books, but a members only BDSM club the brothers own and have kept hidden from her for years.

Is it pity or desire that fueled the invitation?

What other secrets have they been keeping from her?

Can she protect her heart and face her biggest fear while discovering the art of submitting to two Doms?

It’d be a sin not to find out…

Excerpt:

Slowly he unfolded himself from his chair, so he could tower over mine. He put his hands on the arms, caging me in, crowding in close until I could smell his cologne and a unique scent. If I could bottle it I’d label it Sex, and make millions.

“Cyn, a voyeur is someone who gets their rocks off by watching and we want to do a hell of lot more than watch. So why don’t you tell me why you’ve nearly worn through the chain on your necklace, while chewing on lips much better suited for…other things.” He ran his thumb across my lower lip to emphasize the point and my lips opened without my permission so I could lick him all over starting with the pad of his thumb.

Because I’m in love with you and your twin. Have been for almost a decade. I’ve got a journal at home filled with what I want you to do to me and I know I’ll never be brave enough to show it to you. Plus, I want you to screw me until I can’t walk for two days. Then I want you to tie me up, blindfold me and do it all again until I have no voice left from screaming out my orgasms for you.

“No reason!” I squeaked as I jerked my head away. “Hey, I’m thirsty. You thirsty? Want another beer before you close up?” Without waiting for an answer I scrambled out of my chair, ducked under his arm and darted away from our table in the back corner.

“You still have half a beer on the table, Blondie.” Yeah I heard him and completely ignored the obvious as I fled…er…ah…made my way across the empty dance floor. I didn’t have to glance back to know Jared stared at my backside. I could feel it, and it kicked my arousal into a level I’d never imagined was out there and made me want to pant. I was so damn close to begging. Not oh please Jared, but for the love of all that is holy Sir take me and make me yours and let me pleasure your brother, too.

GUEST POST

I asked Jennifer what motivated her to write romance, and this is what she had to say...

Why Romance?

I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember—specifically fiction. Reading non-fiction is a bit too much like work for me so I tend to shy away from those books entirely.
I found romance in college through my grandmother actually, yeah that’s right, I come by this quite naturally!! She had a bookcase full of Harlequin’s. I picked one up when I was on vacation (totally can’t remember the title), and really liked what I read. The book was sexy, engaging, filled with love and my most favorite thing…
            Happily Ever After.
Those three words sum up the very reason why I choose to write romance.
Life is hard. It’s filled with responsibility, worry, trying to make ends meet. Hard things which can bring you down even on a good day. When I decided to spend my hard earned free time writing a book, I was going to make it something fun, and naughty with an HEA that will hopefully blow your socks off.
While I liked sweet romance books, I didn’t find MY genre until I found erotic. I know exactly which was my first. I remember the exact bookstore I bought it in. Down to the very aisle in which I stood when I saw the cover. Can still feel how fast my heart raced when I read the back cover. It was about two brothers finding their woman. Sharing her, earning her trust. I was sold from the very first page.
I’ll be the first to admit I love edgy books. Dark ones, where the characters have to earn their HEA. And I’m infatuated with the process they have to go through to convince themselves they’re worth loving, and loving in the return.
When I sat down to write Together in Cyn and share the story of two brothers, Chris and Jared, finding and claiming the woman, Cyn, whom they wanted to have a full time ménage relationship with I dove in with both hands and feet, and a mind racing with naughty possibilities.
Sex can be sweet and vanilla and that’s great for some people.
Me? I like it with an edge. Intimacy which engages more than just your body, but your mind and your spirit as well.
My hope is people can see romance in the darkness of BDSM, and the clarity which is found in submitting to your desires. Relationships so strong a submissive sometimes has to be chained to relish and accept the release her Doms can provide.
Fingers crossed that even one person has that same moment of inspiration when they see my sexy cover and read the tease about what lies within its pages. To even have the opportunity to capture someone’s imagination for a short matter of hours inspires me to head back to my laptop.
There’s one more reason why I chose to write romance. The possibilities of love conquering all—limitless.
            So tell me…
What is your idea of happily ever after?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I’m going to just jump right in and get the easy stuff out of the way up-front. I am a wife, mother and business owner in Texas with very long black hair and a penchant for high heels and pretty outrageous toe nail polish. I have a very supportive family that I love unconditionally and am fortunate enough to genuinely like and respect them as well.

I started reading romance back in college, liked it so-so, and then I found erotica. Stories a bit on the dark side, a lot on the naughty side, and at the risk of sounding cheesy, it felt like coming home. Finding a genre made just for minds like mine was an amazing revelation, and I swear the characters in my head haven’t stopped hounding me since!

Something I always love reading about other authors are the funny quirks and idiosyncrasies that make each of us unique, so I thought I’d share a few of mine. These are in no particular order and pretty random, so brace yourselves…

I am a morning person who doesn’t drink caffeine, and I am definitely a glass-half-full kind of girl. I have an extreme case of being left-hand stupid and am bad at all sports that end in “ball”!  Hot weather is my favorite because I'm cold all the time, and I adore lying in the sun. You’ll find a closed sign hanging off my forehead at 10 p.m. pretty much every night when my brain clocks out. What’s weird is I can write ‘til the wee hours of the morning though. Probably because the characters just shove me aside so they can say their piece.

Ooh, and I never procrastinate! If something needs to be done today, it should have been finished yesterday. I call this fantastic; several people, who shall remain nameless, call it having a bug up my A**… I think I’ll stick with fantastic.

I refuse to use a flat sheet to sleep, I love perfume but only one kind, and before I die I want to own flip-flops in every color of the rainbow. And last but not least, the yea or nay on a particular food being deemed good or gross is based off of texture first, taste second.

I hope my writing speaks for itself, and I hope it speaks to you.  The fact that I have the opportunity to share a little piece of myself with you absolutely floors me. On a daily basis I am overwhelmed by the good fortune that is my life, and vowed years ago never to take it for granted.

Best advice I’ve ever been given – find the real you and never settle for anything less!  Well guess what?  I found her!  Lord help the rest of you.

  1. My idea of happily ever after is just being able to be me and be happy. The man I've been with for the past 5 years has been my best friend and our love life is fantastic. We have our ups and downs and we never go to bed mad at each other. I couldn't ask for more.

  2. Happily ever after is about friendship, love, and respect. Someone that sees you for who you are and loves that person. And the whip cream topping on the HEA is sexual compatibility. ;)

  5. Love the excerpt! I used to give my grandma books and she go is there sex in it and if I said no she'd say then why do I want to read it? I always thought that was the funniest thing. Thanks so much for the chance! Oh and my idea has always just been someone you can completely honest with and still be happy. I just base it on love and respect and the ability to make each other laugh.

  6. LOL! Great excerpt and post, Jennifer! I do agree that texture is a huge factor in food, so I can see why you'd start there in terms of deciding whether a food is a thumbs up or down!

As for happily ever after? I do think that it's finding the right person(s?) for you--there's magic when you're with someone who knows you and not only accepts you as you are, but delights in you and you in that other person. What I love reading about in great romances is seeing all the variations that can play out--it's accepting your own desires and kinks, and finding another person whose heart's desire is to play that out with you, for you because that's what s/he wants too.

Finally had a chance to pop by your previous stop--thanks for the thoughtful tour, Jennifer!

  7. What is it about twin stories that make them so compelling and hot?!? Must be gluttony, if one hot guy is good, two must be even better.

Happily ever after? Not sure it's possible, but being economically comfortable (not rich, but with a roof over your head and enough food) and being surrounded by people who love you and support you sounds pretty good most of the time.

  8. Amber - the sex in the books comment is JUST like my grandmother!! She was a firm believer that if it didn't have smut in it, it wasn't worth reading. AMEN to that!

The laughter each day is something my husband and I adhere to. In our 13 yr marriage there hasn't been a day we haven't laughed with each other. I love that! Plus he has a wicked sense of humor.

  9. Thanks flchen1!! And a big excerpt is on my site on the TIC page. Go check it out if you haven't had a chance to!

How people can eat stuff that feels weird no matter how good it tastes is beyond me. Case in point bread pudding. Tastes AWESOME! Feels SO GROSS!!!! Just can't get there. Blek!

Someone loving you because of your quirks, instead of in spite of them is crazy SEXY to me!

Super glad you went and hit the other posts!! I'm not going to pick my favorite from each until the last day. This blog tour has been incredibly fun already and I've got LOTS more to go. :)

  10. Anne - I love love LOVE twin menage stories! Why pick one if I can have both?!? :)

Sometimes it's the little things that make you feel rich! And it's awesome not to take those things for granted. A roof and enough food to fill our bellies shouldn't be overlooked! Great comment. :)

  18. Cool excerpt! I LOVE Jared taunting Cyn about voyerism & more and Cyn "runs" out .
My idea of a happy ending is when two (or more) people can bond with each other in love, respect each other and even though they might look at other people still choose each other forever.

I think looking can be super fun. As long as two people want the same things then any type of relationship should be acceptable!

  22. I guess HEA for me is just the people in the relationship all being happy and satified with where they are, each other, and themselves. Btw, I actually came into romances much later in life, just a few years back after I became unable to work after an injury. And for the most part, I completely agree about non-fiction being too much like work (I guess it reminds me of the mountains of books I read in college).

  23. Exactly June! I put my time in reading for knowledge that had to retain and test over. Now all I want to do is read because I love it and want to fall in love/lust with the characters. When free time is really hard to come by I'm going to spend it doing something I'm passionate about. Reading non-fiction makes me want to ZZzzz...........
