Recipe Saturday - Fabulous Fudge Cheesecake

Hi All,

It's Saturday again, and recipe time. The recipe I chose for this week is courtesy of Belinda McBride. Belinda posted this on TRS, and it sounded so delicious I had to share. This Fabulous Fudge Cheesecake is very easy to make. I would love to know how it turned out if you choose to make it.

Fabulous Fudge Cheesecake

*Make your favorite crust, or buy on that's pre- made. I made one out of crushed Oreo cookies and a little bit of butter.*

3 packages of cream cheese, room temperature
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and cooled
4 eggs, room temperature
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 tbsp vanilla

1.Using a large bowl, beat the cheese till its smooth, blend in the chocolate. Add the eggs one at a time till blended. Stir in the milk and vanilla. Don't overbeat, you do not want to incorporate air into the batter. Place prepared crust on a baking pan and fill it with batter.

2.Place in oven that's been preheated to 325 degrees. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until the center is nearly set. (you want a jiggly area about 2 inches across. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes, then run a knife around the edge of the cake to loosen it. Cool at least an hour before removing from the pan. Keep refrigerated.

You can serve this with ganache topping, whipped cream, or a berry sauce. Yields about a dozen servings, (less if you're a piggy like me) and has about a gajillion calories.

It's Thursday... What are you reading?

Hi All,

I have seriously been slacking on my blog lately. I have a good excuse though, I was sick. I had pneumonia, and then a respiratory infection. I am much better now, and trying to get back in the swing of things. I did get a lot of reading done while I was bedridden, and that's always a good thing. so.. This is what I'm reading this week..

Bear Necessities: Halle Shifters, Book 1 Bear Necessities by Dana Marie Bell

To hold onto his love, he must release his beast.

Halle Shifters, Book 1
Once a Bear sets his mind on a mission, it’s best to stay out of his way. Alexander “Bunny” Bunsun is that Bear. Something’s not right with his cousin Chloe, and he’s come to Halle, PA, to sort it out, turn his Harley around and head home to Oregon. Until an enticing scent lures him into the local tattoo shop.

There she is. An inked, Southern-drawled she-Wolf with lime-green hair. His perfect mate.

Tabitha Garwood’s rotten day just got worse. Her Outcast status makes her a target for harassment with alarming regularity. And now, in the middle of a root touch-up, looking like a half-melted Skittle, she’s met her destined mate. The only upside? She finally has a protector in the form of a huge, tattooed, shaved-head Bear who vibrates with carefully restrained power.

When Chloe is left for dead and Tabby is threatened, only Alex can keep his growing family safe. Giving Tabby the loving home she needs, though, could come at a price—Alex must give up the control he’s worked a lifetime to attain.

Which means someone could die at the hands—and claws—of his beast.

Warning: This novel contains explicit sex, graphic language, a hunky Bear named Bunny and… Yes. I said a Bear named Bunny. I don’t know about you but I’m not brave enough to make fun of it.

I am having so much fun reading this book. I am looking forward to sharing my thoughts with all of you.

I am also reading..

The Dragons' Demon The Dragons Demon By. Mair Harte

A prank gone wrong throws three unlikely partners together: A demon. A dragon. And an egg. I Dream of Dragons I In the ordinary world, forces are at work which keep the balance of the universe in order. Enter Eve Sinclair, a higher demon with a mission — to sway those souls on the brink of Decision, to push them toward heaven or toward hell, as they are meant to go. After a prank played by her brothers, Eve finds herself holding the proverbial bag, accused of stealing a precious dragon egg. Worse, it's a royal egg, as she learns from Ranton, the furious commander of the dragon legion. Not a creature to have on one's bad side, Ranton shifts between his human and dragon forms, keeping Eve off-balance and off her game. Normally a master at manipulating males, Eve finds that Ranton is more than a match for her...as is his brother, the new dragon king. In their arms, she's mere putty. And soon they're not only molding her desires, but her heart. Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex, graphic language, menage a troi, and steamy dragon love.

I am only a few pages in on this story, but I have read Ms. Harte's books before, and I am sure this novel is just as captivating as the rest. I will definitely let you know my thoughts on it.

Well.. That's my Rundown

Tuesady Is Poem Day! Christmas Eve - by. Mathilde Blind

Alone--with one fair star for company,

The loveliest star among the hosts of night,

While the grey tide ebbs with the ebbing light--

I pace along the darkening wintry sea.

Now round the yule-log and the glittering tree

Twinkling with festive tapers, eyes as bright

Sparkle with Christmas joys and young delight,

As each one gathers to his family.

But I--a waif on earth where'er I roam--

Uprooted with life's bleeding hopes and fears

From that one heart that was my heart's sole home,

Feel the old pang pierce through the severing years,

And as I think upon the years to come

That fair star trembles through my falling tears.

It's Thursday... What are you reading?

Hi All,

Wow! Can you believe it's December already? It's really hard to believe how fast this year has gone by. I have discovered some great reads and authors this year. I'm also looking forward to the New Year, and the upcoming releases and conclusions to some of my favorite series. I have been sick this week, my doctor claims I have "Walking Pneumonia". I have been spending a lot of time in bed reading, and I have finally put a little teeny dent in my TBR list. It's still ridiculously long, but I did make progress, and that's always a good thing. So.. Here is my weekly rundown...

This is what I'm reading...

Beloved of the Fallen Beloved Of The Fallen by. Savannah Kline

Intelligent, ambitious and beautiful, Kira Castlemaine is a star on the rise. As a young attorney at an elite Washington D.C. firm and the daughter of a United States congressman, Kira has the world at her feet. But when tragedy turns her life upside-down, Kira is drawn into a high-stakes political intrigue that will determine the fate of America and humanity.

By her side as the tension increases is the handsome Valentin Ashford, an expert political consultant and a seemingly heaven-sent lover. But Valentin hides a secret sin, and his passion carries a hellish price. Caught between good and evil, truth and deceit, Kira must ultimately decide how far she will fall for true love.

This is Savannah's first novel, and I am so excited to read this. I can't wait to tell all of you my thoughts on this book. My review will be posted in a few days, I had planned to have this book finished and the review written, but as I stated before I have been seriously sick and now I'm playing catch up.

I am also reading...

Secrets within secrets unfold, and ultimately Charlene has to make a life and death decision between rejecting her true nature and accepting her place within the wolf pack.
I am really enjoying this book, and I can't wait to share my thoughts with all of you. I love a good shifter story.
