Review:
This is the first book I've read of Cat Lovington, but I'm sure it won't be the last.
Nonnie is a freelance writer down on her luck. She is at the end of her savings and she needs a story to put her back on top. Unable to come up with anything she decides to do a story on the vampires rumored to be in the city. Nonnie gets the address of a vampire club out of her friend, and sets off to get her story.
When Dante first meets Nonnie he knows right away that she's not a vampire, but what he can't figure out is what she's doing in his club. All he can think about his how lovely Nonnie is and how much he longs to possess her.
Nonnie never expected to meet the drop dead gorgeous club owner her first night there, but she can't resist him. She knows he is the Vampire that will help her get her story, and prove if all the rumors are true regarding a Vampires prowess. Nonnie can't figure out why she is so drawn to Dante, she wonders if he is using Vampire mind tricks on her.
Dante doesn't know if he can trust the bewitching woman in his arms, but he is willing to give it his all and find out. She might be a hunter sent undercover to kill him, but he won't let that stop him from having her.
I really enjoyed this story, Nonnie is a strong likable heroine, and Dante was the perfect alpha hero. The story flowed really well, and it kept me interested. The sex scenes were very HOT, but it wasn't too much and didn't take anything away from the story. In fact the sexual scenes were really well done.
There were a few twist and turns, and some laugh out loud moments that made the story memorable. I really enjoyed the chemistry between the characters, and the emotions felt real. I was invested in the characters and wanted them to have a HEA. This story was short, but I don't feel like I missed out on anything. I will definitely be checking out other works of Ms. Lovington.
