Hello My Fellow Book Lovers,
It's that time of the week again, when I want to know what everyone is reading. There were some hot new releases this week from Samhain, and other publishers. I actually stayed in my book budget this week, because I won a few contest around the blogging world. I love to win books, and I love to give books away. I feel a giveaway coming up soon on Wicked Readings, and I will release the details in a few days. So.. Without further ado.. This is what I'm reading this week.
The Turning Kiss By. Eden Bradley
BLURB
They have nothing to lose…except the one gift they never expected to find.
Midnight Playground, Book 3
Ilana escaped a life of sex slavery, using her extraordinary beauty to survive among the few remaining wealthy humans in London. But she has higher aspirations. For two years she has haunted the BDSM dungeons of the Midnight Playground, hungering for The Turning Kiss—that deep drink that will make her one of them. An immortal vampire.
Turned out onto the streets of Edinburgh as a child, Calam’s tortured path led him to a job at the club, where he also engages in exotic and dangerous sex play with its clientele. Craving, like Ilana, the eternal escape of the Turning Kiss.
Ilana is undeniably drawn to the beautiful Scotsman, but she has no time to waste; the club takes no one over thirty. When a sinfully compelling vampire pair brings them together for an unusual foursome, she and Calam are shocked to discover it isn’t the vampires they crave, it’s the tenderness and emotion they feel for each other.
After years of seeking to feel something, anything, other than the pain of the past, the ultimate gift is within Ilana’s reach. Yet the cost—leaving her heart behind with a mortal—could be more than she can bear.
Warning: Three hot bisexual vampires and two mere mortals getting down and dirty at the vampire sex club. Beware of spankings, bondage, several kinds of whips, everything anal and an orgy or two…or is it three…?
What can I say about this book, except I'M LOVING IT! If you haven't read any of Eden's books, What are you waiting for? I really loved the first two books in this series The Seeking Kiss, and Blood Song. I know I will love this one as well. I really enjoy Eden's style of writing, and the sex scenes OMG.. They are so on point. Isn't that cover HOTT?

This is the first book of Ms. Barry's that I have read, I'm only about a 1/4 in, but I am really enjoying it so far. I checked out her website, and a few reviews of her other novels, and I can tell that she is a author whose books I will definitely be looking out for.

What Are You Reading?
Hi All,
It's Thursday, and I want to know what everyone is reading. I have been reading a lot lately, and I've been adding books to my ridiculously long TBR pile. The best thing, and the worst thing about me belonging to all those yahoo groups is, all the new release post that goes up on Tuesdays. I see all the pretty covers, and get caught up in the excerpts. The next thing I know, I'm hitting the one click button on Amazon, or checking out at MBAM. I'm spending money on books like crazy, and going way over my book budget. I'm helpless to stop it. *sigh* It's OK.. I love to read, so it's justified. OK, back to the subject of this post.
This is what I'm reading...
The Yearning by Tina Donahue
Blurb:
To break this curse, they’ll have to turn the heat up. Way up.
Jasmine Dante prowls Key West’s nightlife, fighting a losing battle against a jealous rival’s curse that forces her to seek carnal pleasure, no matter the danger. Weakened from lack of sleep, driven by insatiable lust, she spots a man who stirs her desperate craving, and begins yet another dance of seduction.
Except the dark stranger who returns her direct stare is no ordinary lover. Inside his powerful body lies a raw sexuality that just might be enough to break her curse. There’s only one way to find out: imprison him in her bed and feed on his passion.
Former U.S. Marshal Mike Stearn is many things, but he’s no woman’s sex slave. The deadly telekinetic power he ruthlessly suppresses comes alive again at Jasmine’s touch. Beneath her bold, potent sensuality he senses vulnerability and desperation. He may be in handcuffs, but she’s the one who’s enslaved.
As Mike resurrects his power to free himself so he can find the curse’s source and defeat it, Jasmine revels in his masterful rule. Her ravenous yearning evolves into rapture as she surrenders to his hunger, her darkest needs—and the emotional connection that lies beyond. Unless the curse takes her life first…
Warning: Tons of steamy sex, smoldering passion and a to-die-for love story with a hot Alpha hero who finds himself imprisoned by one sultry and desperate babe.
I read Tina's book Sensual Stranger and LOVED it. I have heard nothing but great things about this book, and I'm looking forward to finishing it. I will definitely be back with a review.

Colter's Daughter by Maya Banks
Blurb:
He let her go once. This time he’s playing for keeps.
Colters’ Legacy, Book 3
Callie Colter once chased sunsets all over the world. Until Max. Together they were a perfect storm of desire, and she reveled in the beautiful power. Then he disappeared without a word, and the betrayal drove her home to lick her wounds.
Who knew he’d have the gall to show his face in her brother’s bar.
Max Wilder figures he deserves Callie’s right hook to the jaw, but it changes nothing. He had his reasons for pursuing her across Europe, for making her fall in love with him. But when she took everything he gave and offered more, she changed all the rules. He had no choice leaving her, but he’s back. This time for the right reasons.
Callie is angry and hurt, yet powerless against Max’s relentless onslaught. He’ll settle for nothing less than her complete surrender—and her love. Only when she’s back in his arms will he be truly happy. And the damning truth can stay safely tucked away.
Except the truth has a way of creeping to the surface, and Max may just be out of second chances.
Warning: This title contains adult language, explicit sex, rough sex, anal sex. In other words...sex! Also contains themes of D/s which might offend some readers. Lots of angst, emotion and betrayal. Second chances and lots of warm fuzzies.
I love this series, and I have been looking forward to this book. Big SHOUT OUT to Maya Banks for hitting the New York Times Best seller list with this book.
Well... That's My Rundown.

She finally has a protector in the form of a huge, tattooed, shaved-head Bear who vibrates with carefully restrained power.
When Chloe is left for dead and Tabby is threatened, only Alex can keep his growing family safe. Giving Tabby the loving home she needs, though, could come at a price—Alex must give up the control he’s worked a lifetime to attain.

My Shifter Showmance: (Shifting Reality, Book 1) by. R.G. Alexander
Blurb:
Shifting Reality, Book 1
Thomas Lyons is your average cat shifter. Cool, seductive…and bored out of his mind. With the new popularity of all things paranormal, he doesn’t see why he should hide anymore. When his half-demon technophile roommate hooks him up with a computer, Thomas starts a blog announcing to the world who and what he is. Oddly enough, the more he shares, the less he’s believed. In fact, people begin thinking it’s a new online series with fantastic effects.
Margo Sheffield doesn’t dance on tables anymore, not since her reckless naïveté cost her so much. These days, her only guilty pleasures are dark chocolate, shoes—and a certain website with a man whose purring voice sends shivers down her spine. When the show, Shifting Reality, offers a week in a haunted Scottish castle with the stars, it seems a far-off dream. But when that dream becomes reality, her boss’s insistence that she mix business with pleasure—or else—is more like a nightmare.
Thomas’s focus on the show is blown by the luscious, camera-shy handful. And Margo can barely think about contracts when she’s surrounded by newlywed ghost hunters, a matchmaking demon and a man whose addictive touch makes her head spin. A showmance is the last thing she needs, but with a sexy cat like Thomas on the prowl…she just can’t resist.
I've been told by several people that R.G.'s books are a must read, and I have to admit they weren't wrong. I am so enjoying this book, and looking forward to reading book 2 My Demon Saint.

Hunting Season (The Gathering) Book 1 By. Shelly Laurenston
Blurb:
Stubborn, lethal, and from Jersey…what more could a Viking warrior want from his woman?
The Gathering, Book 1
Neecy Lawrence, winged warrior for a Viking goddess and second-in-command of the fierce Crows, doesn’t know what to do with a nice guy. As it is, making up for a past she’d sooner forget leaves her barely polite most days. But Raven leader and loyal Odin warrior, Will Yager, isn’t just nice. He’s gorgeous, hot, and a distraction she simply can’t afford.
Yager has wanted Neecy in his life—and in his bed—for a long time. Not just for a night, but forever. And, like any self-respecting Viking, he’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants. So what if she’s the most difficult, complex, never-gives-him-a-break woman he’s ever known? She’s more than worth the effort. In fact, she’s worth everything.
And if it turns out that twenty-four hours of non-stop, any-way-she-wants-it sex doesn’t work with Neecy? Then it looks like he’ll just have to get a little more creative…
Warning: Contains a strong, intelligent, ass-kicking heroine; an alpha hero with the occasional geeky tendency; gritty, realistic violence; and sex so hot that, well, let’s just say there’s not enough ice water in the world…
This book was recommended to me, and I am already loving it. Ms. Laurenston is a superb storyteller, and I haven't been wanting to put this book down. I am looking forward to sharing my thoughts with you.
Well.. That's My Rundown.

Bargaining over goods with a middleman isn’t exactly his strong suit. But who in his right mind spends an entire salvage job’s profits on a woman, even if she has a body built for sin and eyes so fathomless a man could lose himself in them? He must be getting soft.
Once Kraft realizes Jace expects only the “cook” part of their cook-whore contract, she sets out to change his antiquated ideas about women. A challenge she relishes, especially if it earns her the freedom and money to get her own ship. Her big mistake is letting down her guard.
Shameless flirting only intensifies the itch to ride Jace hard and put him away wet—several times. It’s an itch it would be dangerous to scratch. Exposing her heart could reveal her secret, one that the still-grieving Jace must never know…or showing her mercy will be the last thing on his mind.

When Calion Sáralondë, Prince of the Calen’taur Elves, rescues the human female from an orcan stronghold, his attraction to her is immediate and strong. And the feeling is mutual. Though their love is sardai—taboo—Calion can’t bring himself to send her back to her world. Her presence sets a fire in his soul only mating with her can tame.
And their passion could be the answer to an ancient prophecy that saves his world.
This book has been previously published and has been revised and expanded from its original release.
This is the first book by Cj England that I've read, but I'm sure it won't be the last. She weaves this story perfectly, and draws you in from the beginning.
Well That's My Rundown..
What Are You Reading?
Hi All,
Well... It's Thursday again, and time for me to give my rundown of what I'm reading this week. I also do this to find out what all of you are reading. I always find great reads through other people, and that's one of the main incentives for doing my blogging thing. I have to admit, I have been reading a lot of erotica this week. I have had some request to review a few erotica books, and since it's one of my favorite genres to read I had no problem reading them. The erotica I usually read is of the fanged or furry variety, but through being a member of the Samhain Yahoo group, I have discovered some great contemporary erotic reads too. Oh, before I forget let me just say, The Samhain yahoo group is AWESOME! I love those ladies, and we have a lot of fun in that group. I'm always up to date with new releases, and I constantly find myself picking up new books that I would have missed otherwise. Anyway... Getting back to this post.. I did refrain again this week from buying any new books, because there are so many books that I haven't had a chance to read that are sitting around my house, and on my computer waiting for me. I also refrained from spending, because there are a whole lot off books coming out next week, and the first week in November that I MUST have. It's been hard, but I'm keeping with my resolve on this . OK.. Enough of my musings.
This is what I'm reading....
Tequila Truth by Mari Carr
Product Description:
One's the loneliest number. Two's company. Three's a fantasy come true. The rules of Tequila Truth are quite simple. Shots are poured, a question asked, and only absolute truth can be the answer. Kylie Halston has been playing the game with her roommates, Colt and Heath, since their freshmen year of college.
On his twenty-fifth birthday, Heath poses a question: "What is your ultimate sex fantasy?" While Colt and Heath's fantasies are too hot for words, it's Kylie's sex dream that hits a little too close to home for all of them. Her wish? For a menage a trois with two men, complete with bondage and a bit of spanking for good measure.
Colt and Heath are only too willing to make Kylie's fantasies come true and they make a proposal—one no-holds-barred, sexed-up weekend where nothing is off the menu. The only question is, come Monday, will their platonic relationship survive the passion?
Warning, you will need to crank up the air conditioning before reading as this title contains all the following erotic goodies: explicit sex, menage a trois (m,f,m), anal sex, spanking, bondage, and graphic language.
The description of this book pulled me in. Really, how could you not read this book after reading that description? I have read one other book by Mari Carr it's called Sugar & Spice. I really really enjoyed that book, and I know it will be the same with this one.

Worse, it's a royal egg, as she learns from Ranton, the furious commander of the dragon legion. Not a creature to have on one's bad side, Ranton shifts between his human and dragon forms, keeping Eve off-balance and off her game. Normally a master at manipulating males, Eve finds that Ranton is more than a match for her...as is his brother, the new dragon king. In their arms, she's mere putty. And soon they're not only molding her desires, but her heart. Warning, this title contains the following: explicit sex, graphic language, menage a troi, and steamy dragon love.
This is the first book by Marie Harte that I have picked up. I didn't read any of the reviews, but I did check out the ratings and they were very high. I just started this story, but I must say it is already pulling me in. I'm confident it will be a good read.
So, That's My Rundown.
What Are You Reading?
Hello All,
Well.. It's Thursday again, and you know what that means. It's time for me to give you my weekly reading rundown, and for me to find out what all of you are reading. I have to admit, I didn't buy any new books this week, because I couldn't justify it. I really splurged last week on books, and I have been quite lucky in winning books lately. Let me tell you.. It was HARD for me not to hit that one click button on Amazon, but I was strong. I'm making no promises about next week though. I have so many books to read that I'm considering a challenge for myself, so that I can get through them all. My Catering business has been really keeping me busy lately, but this is the time of year when things slow down before the holidays. Hopefully I will have the time then to get through them all. OK... Enough with my rambling, this is what I'm reading this week.
Mercy by Eleri Stone
Description (From Publishers Website)
To the Yaguara, an ancient jaguar shape-shifting people living deep in the Amazon jungle, nothing matters more than strength. Iada is their champion; genetically pure, she has been trained since birth to fight. Her destiny is to become the next Queen of the Yaguara by winning the tournament of succession—a battle to the death.
Her opponent is Gabriel, a half-blooded outcast whose mother was human. To everyone's shock, he defeats Iada but does not strike the death blow—instead, he extends mercy, thereby claiming her as his mate.
Despite their enmity, the attraction between them is powerful, and soon they are mates in more than name only. Their mutual distrust serves only to fuel their passion—two champions bested only by their overpowering desire for each other.
But Gabriel has an agenda that threatens the most basic tenets of Yaguara society—and that will force Iada to choose between her people or her King.
I have heard nothing but good things about this Novella. I didn't read any reviews, because I haven't read it yet, but I did notice all the 4 and 5 star ratings. I am excited to be reading this, and I can't wait to share my thoughts on Mercy with you.

She was an angel at the gates of Hell.
When Kenan, an incubus, finds a caged angel for sale in the Hellsgate marketplace, he sees her as a challenge. Certain that his skills in seduction will work as well on a heavenly creature as they do on mortal women, he buys Jahel, intent on having her soul as a novelty in his collection.
Knowing he must gain Jahel's trust if she is to come to his bed willingly, Kenan treats her more as his guest than as his slave. When she reveals what brought her to the mouth of Hell in the first place—retrieving the soul of a young girl she was guarding—he even offers to help her complete her mission.
Though he has promised Jahel freedom, Kenan soon realizes she has captured his heart instead. And as their passion for one another grows, they find themselves caught in a struggle between Heaven and Hell, one that will lead them to the very edge of the apocalypse...
This book isn't scheduled for release until Oct. 25. Thanks to Netgalley, and the awesome people at Carina Press, I was given the opportunity to read it now, and it's really good. I'm hoping to finish it today. This is the first book I have read by Karalynn Lee, and I'm not dissapointed.
Well... That's my rundown.
