VBT: SPOTLIGHT / GUEST POST & GIVEAWAY- HUNTER BETRAYED BY NANCY CORRIGAN

BLURB:

Wild Hunt, Book 1

Tainted from birth, Harley lives a life cloaked in darkness and temptation. She resists the lure of her evil legacy by holding the memory of her ghostly savior close. Every night without him is agony. She fantasizes about him and yearns for his body, but he’s not the protector or lover she’s envisioned. He’s a Hunter bred to eliminate her kind. He’s also her only hope of salvation.

Calan, the leader of the Wild Hunt, was created to protect mankind from the Unseelie Court. For a millennium, he’s sacrificed to ensure the horrid creatures remain in the Underworld, but his strength wanes. He must rely on his enemy’s daughter to save him, but he doesn’t expect the intensity of their lust or love. Her touch calms his wild nature and ignites his carnal desires. He’ll risk all to save her, but doing so forces him to make the ultimate sacrifice, one that’ll damn him to suffer forever in his own living hell.

 EXCERPT

“Harley—”

She swiped her thumb over the slit already glistening with pre-cum. His warning turned into a moan. Liking the sound, she bent and kissed the swollen head. His flavor hit her. A shuddered breath escaped. He tasted as smoky and rich as his scent implied. She licked, suckled and teased more of his essence from him. The moans reaching her ears were hers, but the curses belonged to Calan.

Hands in her curls, he urged her closer. The silent demand reflected her wants. She opened her mouth and drew him in deep, as far as she could. She groaned around the thick cock stretching her lips. The unique flavor of her Huntsman had the potential to intoxicate her. Already lightheadedness threatened. She grabbed his thighs to steady her swaying body. Poised above him, she had him right where she wanted him. She wouldn’t let the opportunity pass.

She curled her tongue around him, licking the head she held grasped in her mouth. Another swirl and more of his smoked and rich flavor overloaded her senses. The demand for more echoing in her head mirrored the controlled lift of his hips. She widened her lips and sucked until he hit the back of her throat. Her gag reflex kicked in, something she’d never experienced before, but no man she’d ever had in this position had been as large as Calan.

Slow deep breaths through her nose eased the automatic response to the thick cock lodged deep.

He massaged her scalp. “That feels good, but ease back, angel. I’m too much for you. Don’t want to hurt you.”

Not if she could help it. She wrapped her hand over the length of his erection and stroked from its base to where her lips held him. His groan encouraged her and she fisted him, working the section of his exposed cock. More involuntary thrusts and more of his delicious smoked taste flooded her mouth. The muscles of her throat relaxed. With the next push of his hips, she swallowed him.

Her eyelids fluttered on a guttural moan.

So. Damn. Good.

GUEST POST

The beauty of schedules in a writer’s life
Life is busy. There I said it. It’s something all people can relate to. Whether you work full-time or stay home, there’s always something that needs to get done. I’m no different. My life is beyond busy. Not only do I have a family, I work full-time on a rotating twelve hour shift schedule. What is that, you ask? Well, it’s fourteen days out of the month where all I do is work and sleep. Sounds fun, right? It’s not, but I’m used to it and it does give me a week off each month. Those precious seven days aka long break becomes my main writing time and it’s not to be wasted.
Schedules are not for everyone, but for me they’re a necessity, at least in my writing life. I’d never get anything accomplished otherwise. After I plan out my personal obligations, I designate any remaining time to either family or writing. On my writing days, I shoot for 3-5K and hopefully 15-25K over the week off. Any other days I have off, I squeeze in as much as I can, even if it’s a couple hundred words. If I know I’m supposed to be writing, I make sure I do it. That means setting timers so I don’t get sucked into social media, closing my email and informing my children that I’m working for the next couple of hours. It doesn’t always work. I’m always tempted to just peek at my email or social media, but for the most part it helps.
On non-writing days, I edit. The beauty of notebooks and word apps makes it easy to go over my rough draft on my lunch break or before bed. For me, I feel a sense of accomplishment as I work through edits and it keeps me close to the story until the next time I have time to add words to it.
Writing this way isn’t easy. It takes dedication and planning, not just with a regimented schedule. Plotting is just as important. I need to know what I’m going to write before I sit down.
So for me schedules are a godsend and they’re the only thing I’ve found that keeps me on track. Now if only I can convince myself to make a schedule for household chores…
